Another really crowded Wednesday at Rye. It sucks when it's so crowded, you don't get to do much riding. But I guess it's better than sitting at home watching the Boston bomb squad blow up Aqua Teen Hunger Force characters.

Apparently there was a miscommunication in Boston yesterday. The phrase "that show is the bomb" was mistaken for "that show IS a bomb". Ok thats not really what happened, but it might as well have been. These are the devices that the bomb squad was blowing up with a water cannon yesterday.

On the count of 3, lets all say it together now: 1... 2... 3...

Are You Fucking Kidding Me?

"they had all the components of Improvised Explosive Devices, but without the explosive"

Meaning? Batteries and a circuit board? FYI my cell phone is not a bomb. My iPod is not a bomb. My car is not a bomb. My electric tooth brush is not a bomb. My razor is not a bomb. I mention this only because I don't want to have to buy new ones if the bomb squad comes a'knockin.

Who cares about the super bowl, there's a bike session at Skaters Edge sunday morning :-D

I shot some video from my cell phone, it's really low quality but look close and you can see what's going on. The sound got stripped off, which seems to happen every time I upload stuff to youtube.

Anyway the first half of the session was really fun, but then they started letting in really little kids on skateboards that were literally just throwing their boards around the park and then sliding down the ramps on their asses, almost getting run over by kids on bikes doing backflips etc.

Finally. I got rid of my Acura! Someone from Craigslist bought it, I am now officially carless! I'm so happy! "My Mazda Guy" is looking for an RX-8 for me as I type this. This is so great!

I was driving to Malden today and came across this on Highland Ave. This is so cool! It looked even cooler from the side but I couldn't get a picture from that angle. Seems impossible that a sheet of snow could fall off a car like this and not shatter into a million pieces. Very cool.

I uploaded everything good that was in my iPhoto, and stuck them in the Photos box on this site. The albums themselves are just iPhoto web site exports, nothing special looking. They are password protected though, so if you need the password, just email me and I'll give it to you. BTW this is not my camera unfortunately, its just some generic camera image I found on Google Images.

Finally. After many many months of dealing with a car I hate, I'm finally back in another RX-8. And I LOVE IT! For the first day, it was a little weird. I hadn't driven one in so long. And it drove so much rougher than my Acura. But by the second day, I was back. And now, the 3rd day, clearly there is no other car for me. So anyway, here are the first pics of the car. They aren't great, but there won't be any more for a while since the car is already completely filthy with sand and salt.

Heres what Beaver Lake looked like Wednesday. Notice they tire tracks. They are not from me, but I'm hoping to get my go kart up there possibly this weekend for a little ice driving :-)

Went to Rye this Wednesday. It was friggin awesome. One of the best sessions ever. There were very few people there so I got tons of ride time in. And I put clipless pedals on the Orange bike just to "try them out". I'm never going back to flats, clips ALL THE WAY! Everyone thinks I'm crazy but as it turns out, I am right and everyone else is wrong. Also, I am not in any of the pics since I was just shooting around with my cell phone. I also got some really big air in a couple of spots, bigger than I've ever gotten before up there! I would be totally stoked... you know, if I talked like that.

By the way, if you're ever in Derry NH, stop in and have breakfast at iView! Their bacon and eggs are really good, and their pancakes rock as well. The food in the picture, my breakfast Thursday morning (afternoon), is much larger than it looks. Seriously, it's really good.
